Stella volunteers for the Love Wanted Adoption group in Brooklyn, NY.  Love Wanted was founded in 2004, by Mary Jo Tobin, who had left the business world on Wall St to fulfill a mission to save homeless animals. Love Wanted coordinates adoption events in neighborhoods in Brooklyn, by arranging transports of adoptable dogs and cats from the local kill shelter and the North Shore Animal League, to our adoption location. Local rescues also bring their animals to the events, with the hopes of placing the animals in their care into safe, forever homes. In many cases, these adoptions save the lives of animals who, if not adopted, will be euthanized due to overcrowding and under funding at the shelter.
